Despite negotiations starting well before the pandemic started, we have negotiated the renewaal of the lease on Unit B, Dorvic Warehouse in Quarry Lane, Chichester. The tenant Meadrock Ltd trading as 1st Carpets and Flooring have taken a new 7 year lease with an option to determine at the 3rd anniversary. Medhursts acted for the private landlord.

Allen Dawson Ltd are a privatly owned garage specialising in the servicing and maintenance of SAAB's. They have taken an assignment of a lease at Unit 3, Pulsar Business Park, Selsey. The 2,350 sqft unit will house their relocation from Quarry Lane in Chichester, which is due to be redeveloped. Medhursts acted for the assignor Instant Mailing Services Ltd.

We have completed the sale of a 12-bed former student house at 98 Broadwater Road. Previously let to Brighton Metropolitan College, we assisted the private vendor with appointing a dilapidations surveyor and dealing with other end of lease matters. An HMO licnece was obtained from the local authority. This assisted the sale to a local property company coterminous with the grant of a lease to a national charity that provides hostel accommodation to vulnerable women. The sale was agreed just prior to lock-down but managed to complete despite the solicitors working from home.

Despite the COVID-19 lockdown we have managed to facilitate the relocation of food re-purposing charity UK Harvest. They have expanded from District Council premises into an office and warehouse space at Manor Farm, Donnington. Increasing demand for the charity's services has necessitated the need for more space.
