After more than 3 years of searching for new larger offices for Thesis Asset Management, a solution was finally found. This involved a complex plan that invloved remodelling their existing 5,400 square foot office building and upgrading it to take an additional 20+ staff. We negotaited a new lease and agreement to lease with the landlord as well as a substantial capital contribuition towards the costs of a comprehensive refurbishment of the Grade II Listed building.

The refurbishment works included stripping out the entire interior of the building and re-fitting with new ceilings, lighting, wiring, air conditioning, flooring, toilets, kitchen and windows.

To faciliate this we negotiated to rent other temporary offices at Southgate House to relocate the entire staff for the period of the works. Thesis are now confortably re-installed back in their shiny modern offices.

Acting on behalf of Chichester District Council we have re-let the former CAB and Relate offices at 5-6 Theatre Lane, Chichester. The Grade II Listed building has been taken on a 10 year lease by a charitable organisation providing counselling services.

Following on from the recent letting of the other 3a Little London shop to Common Grounds coffee, we have completed the quick letting of 3a Little London to Parker & Gibbs. The interior design company also comes from Drapers Yard to a more permanent base to expand their business. The unit was previoulsy occupied by Blooms florists who relocated to larger premises in Halnaker.

We have represented and advised the Wixroyd International Ltd on the acquisition of the part completed Unit J at the Glenmore Business Park, Portfield, Chichester. Contracts have been exchanged to acquire the freehold of the 22,000 sqft warehouse which was due to be completed in September but the contractor was put into liquidation. This called for further legal advice on contractors warranties. Completion of the purchase is expected in the autumn when the new contractors complete the construction. Wixroyd are relocating the business from Cranleigh in Surrey.
