After a marketing campaign fraught with complications which included travellers, vandals and a fire, the freehold interest of a former grainstore and workshop building has been sold.

The former Manhood Grain Store, in Brimfast Lane ,

Sidlesham was constructed by a syndicate of 6 local farmers to store their harvest grain. When alternative storage methods became available the unusual building had the storage bins stripped out and was let for the industrial shredding of tyres and a caravan repair and sales business.

Following the departure of the two tenants the buidling has now been sold to Penfiold UK Ltd who are expected to use the workshop for a van import and conversion business and the unusually lofty grainstore building is likley to be used for storage.

The buildings provided 16,105 square feet of space and sat on a site of 0.83 acres. The sale completed on the 2nd January.
